I forgot to order my new 18 tooth ring for the SS until Thursday afternoon. Cue a moment of panic as I really want to ride 3 laps of the Gorrick 100 Enduro on my SS. Charlie the Bike Monger came through again and it turned up this morning - cheers fella.
As it’s a reasonably long ride and I’m not at my absolute fittest I wanted to gear down a touch from 16/32 to 18/32. I’m hoping this will make it a touch easier UPhill, slow me down a bit on the flats. at least til I get knackered and I’m slow anyway, and probably not affect me much going down as its fairly technical and not really pedally anyway.
At least – thats the theory. Event is tomorrow so we’ll see. I think its going to be a wet one anyway. Its been a whole week of either bright sunshine or crashing rain, often only 5 minutes apart!
